Only forty-five districts in the nation took the FutureReady pledge and completed the Dashboard Dash by Digital Learning Day. Goochland was one of the districts!
Bob Wise, from the Alliance of Excellent Education, wrote us with the news:
It is with great excitement that I write to congratulate your district for being recognized on February 17, 2016—this year’s Digital Learning Day (DLDay)—during the Digital Equity: The Road Ahead segment. Your district was one of only forty-five school districts in the nation to complete the Future Ready Schools (FRS) Dashboard Dash, a national challenge to utilize the FRS Framework, complete a series of eight self-assessments, and work with numerous tools to create a systemic action plan for your school district for the road ahead.
FRS recognizes that accomplishing such a feat required a significant investment in time for your team and applauds your diligence and commitment to ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, accelerated by technology, throughout your district. Your team’s ability to engage stakeholders, seek and utilize feedback, analyze results, and develop a comprehensive action plan based on data is both recognized and commended.
The live event segment from DLDay is archived and the winners, including Goochland County Public Schools are also pubically recognized on the FRS website at www.futureready.org/dash. Please share your accomplishment as it is something for which your team should be very proud.
