High-ability and gifted children often grasp things intellectually that they are not quite sure how to process emotionally. They can also be hyper-driven, perfectionistic, and impatient with others. How can the adults in their lives help them to understand their strong emotions, establish and maintain positive relationships, and find the balance that is needed to reach fulfillment in life, not just academics?
Please consider joining the GCPS Gifted Advisory Committee for its panel discussion on “Meeting the Social & Emotional Needs of Your Gifted or High-Ability Child” on Wednesday, February 17, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually at meet.google.com/yag-oonf-gds. All are welcome!
