This Sunday, June 26, Goochland Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services and the Goochland Sheriff’s Office will host the Virginia EMS Training Group and Fort Lee Fire and Emergency Services at the Goochland Middle/High Complex for the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care class. Sunday’s portion of the class at GMS/GHS will include simulated scenarios using volunteer actors from our community to provide a realistic training experience for participating EMS and law enforcement personnel. This weekend’s class is part of ongoing collaborative training among Goochland County Schools, Fire-Rescue, and Sheriff’s Office to enhance safe practice, increase awareness, and improve in management of emergencies in our community. Access to the complex will be restricted on Sunday, June 26. However, we look forward to sharing more about the experience next week.
